Hi, I'm Sebastiaan Gybels.

a seasoned IT and cybersecurity professional with a knack for building and leading top-notch teams. I've been fortunate enough to work with some amazing individuals in the industry, including at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Northern Trust, NextCapital, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.   

My career has been an exciting ride, full of unexpected twists and turns. I've had the opportunity to wear many hats, from IT auditor to CISO to CIO. I've also had the chance to work on a variety of projects, from implementing new security solutions to leading incident response efforts.   

One of my proudest accomplishments was leading the development of the first Cyber Horizontal review for the Federal Reserve to assess how cyber prepared the financial system was in the US. This was a major undertaking, but thanks to great minds from each District, we were able to gather information and successfully identify and map out key risks.   

I'm also passionate about giving back to the community. I've served as a mentor and instructor for several organizations. This mainly comes from my passion for basketball, playing and coaching. Cybersecurity is a team sport as well.   

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and watching sports.
